Load Shedding in City of Tshwane

How the schedule works:

The City of Tshwane's load shedding schedule works on a 2-hour rotational schedule.  The entire area has been divided into 16 groups, meaning that on Stage 1 of load shedding 12 out of 16 groups would incur load shedding, which means every suburb get turns 3 out of every 4 days.  The number of intervals is double for Stage 2 (i.e. 6 times every 4 days), and accumulates linearly for higher stages.

Load shedding will commence when at a time instructed by Eskom.  Whichever group is scheduled for that time slot will be turned off immediately.  Note that this might not coincide with the exact start time as on the municipality schedule.

Option1: View the schedule for your group

If you know the group number of the suburb, then click on the group to see the upcoming load shedding events for this group:

Option2: Search for your suburb:

Below is a searchable list of all suburbs.  To the right is the group number to which the suburb belongs.  Type the first few letters of the suburb's name you wish to see. The list will show filtered results automatically.

Be aware some suburbs belong to more than 1 group..

(Note that sometimes a suburb could be assigned to more than one group.  This happens when one suburb is supplied with power from more than one substation.  In these cases, you should determine to which group a particular address belongs and select that group in order to see the correct schedule.)
